Nails

Me and my sisters share many passions make up, fashion and nails. what woman doesn't. But I come from a family full of creative and artist individuals.  We also like to save more money than we spend. So we find ways of doing things ourselves.

I don't know about you but I have grown tired of going to the nail salons and paying all this money for something that did not come out the way I wanted it to.

Since moving out of New York I have not found a place that can do it like they can. So I do them myself. And since I have saved money. And I can change it up as much as I like. My older sister is the same and we text each other of new designs we come up with each week. Yes we both have full time jobs. Lol. It is just what we are into.

So if your like us try it. You will be amazed with what you can come up with. Plus you get all the bragging rights.

Studio Gear Dual Identity

So about a week ago I needed to get more mineral powder because I was out. I usually use NYX Translucent in Dark. This has been my go to for some time now. But when I went to the store, because waiting for shipping would take too long, they were out.

So I asked a consultant, what alternative should I use? He suggested Smashbox HD Powder. So he tried it on me, and it was really nice. It even left a cool feelinig. However heardthe downside was the price $59.00. That was way too much for just one powder.

He then showed me Studio Gear Dual Identity. I have never heard of it. It is a dual mineral foundation that can be used wet or dry. All you have to do is add your favorite moisturizer, fix +, under eye cream for dark circles. You can even use water. Buff it to blend and it drys as a powder finish. It. Is very light weight, and breathable. It does not feel heavy on caked on. The price $25.50. I asked "Joe" the consultant which on did he like better. He loved the StudioGear.  That's why they were sold out.

At this point he sold me a dream and then crushed it. He gave me a sample and I returned a few days later to purchase my fix.

I've combined mine with votre vu misting spray, on top of a tinted moisturizer from Philosopy (hope) in tan.  I like the foundation a lot because its buildable for places I need more coverage. So it can go on from sheer to mid coverage. My shade is Praline. Which is the darkest shade they have.  Which I think is the only downside.  I am pretty tanned but if you are darker they won't carry your shade. Hopefully they will come out with additional shades to compliment everyones skintone.

Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV

I walked into my local Ulta on Sunday looking for a new mineral foundation. (Post about that later) I came across a new BOS that I had no idea was coming out. When I saw it I knew I had to have it. I then realized the price $$. I was not happy with the $64.00 price tag attached. O_o. The other thing about it was that I already owned 2 shades (Sin and Gunmetal) that were included in the Naked palette.

I have not purchased the 15th Anniversary palette. I am debating if I want it or not. I like some shades but not all. What I really want to get is the 24/7 Pencil set. Me and my sister Mindy have been drooling over it.

The BOS4 includes
~ 15 Shadows - 10 being brand new
~ Travel sized Eyeshadow Primer Potion
~ 24/7 Water Proof Liquid Eyeliner in Perversion ( black)
~ Travel sized Supercurling Mascara
~ Portable Speaker??
~ USB Cord
~ Audio Cable
~ Get the look QR card ( with 5 tutorials)
~ And a Mirror

But I do believe this is a nice palette. Some of my favorite colors are Blue Bus, Gravity and Bust. As always the color pay off is insane. =)

My only main issue is the price. And I believe it to be because of the speaker box. Which is not even that loud. Oh well, what's done is done. Everything else is great. The 24/7 Liquid eyeliner is a must have. That sucker won't come off at all until you really want it to.

If you are willing to spend it, get it. If not don't sweat it.

Classic Neutral Makeup Tutorial

Before Neutrals use to be referred as boring and plain. But even colors such as these can be made to compliment and give class to your everyday look. I made a tutorial doing just that. You can add to it, to make it even more intense. For example using this look but with a cat eye eyeliner.

I have found the key// Votre Vu

I have discovered a new Skincare line that has made a big impact to how people view European products. They are affordable and are amazing in quality.Votre Vu combines three generations of French research and development in effective skin care treatments with American ingenuity, technical expertise, and a viable marketplace. The littlest bit does so much to benefit your skin. I have been using the product for about a month now, and have noticed a difference in my skins appearance. Currently living in California, my skin tends to get very dry amongst other things and using my skin types night serum and daily moisturizer has literally reversed and maintain my soft hydrated appearance on my skin that I really love.
